Home owners told to cut back by banks

It is believed that more than 30,000 home owners across the UK could find themselves struggling to make ends meet if interest rates rise from the current low of 0.5%. So in a bid to recognise such ‘high-risk’ customers, two taxpayer owned banks have admitted they are carrying out secret credit checks on customers, a move which has understandably been met with some trepidation.
